It All Started In September 2000:
I grew up on the beautiful Isle of Wight with all its sandy beaches and beautiful coastline scenery. I have always lived here and what a great place for our gorgeous Chihuahuas to live!
As a child I had been raised in an animal environment and although we had larger breeds of dogs, I had always loved and longed for a Chihuahua.
In September 2000, I was ready to buy my own Chihuahua, after researching the breed and decided to look for a Long Coat Chihuahua. I found a lady breeder in the Southampton area who had advertised a litter of Chihuahuas and quickly rang to find out more. I asked many questions and made an appointment to view the puppies.
After getting off of the ferry, I was soon greeted by a friendly face and we drove a short distance to her house. Upon entering the living room a little angel looked up as if she had chosen me as her new mummy! We then left for a new life on the Isle of Wight!!
I called my new furbaby Millie-Louise and a year later, I went back to the same breeder and bought a sister as a friend for Millie - we called her Tula. Millie loved her new playmate and both girls were spoilt rotten like little princesses!
While sat watching a film called the Neverending Story, with my son, we had realised that Millie looked like the character Falcor - A Luck Dragon. That became Millie's nickname from thereon!
The craze for the Long Haired Chihuahua continued and we bought another 2 Chi's, taking our numbers up to 4!
Unfortunately Millie passed away Xmas 2008 due to a heart condition. After a couple of months and coming to terms with our loss, I decided to try my hand at breeding for healthy well rounded and sound puppies with no genetic conditions and bought 2 girls (Ava and Bailey) and a boy (Dante).
